- 4:30 p.m. includes 1 Hour unpaid lunch)

Salary Placement:
New employees will start at the minimum hourly rate in the classification salary range. However, employees who have verified prior years of service of similar occupational experience may receive experience credit towards salary step placement.

SUMMARY STATEMENT:

Under the general supervision of the Director of Curriculum & Instruction, this position is responsible for assisting the Director and content area specialists in the smooth running of the department by performing a variety of clerical functions making sure that students, staff, department, district, and community needs are being met in a timely manner.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

* Work closely with the department Director and specialists in the daily administration and operation of the department.

* Communicate with a variety of persons and/or agencies for the purpose of providing information, ascertaining and prioritizing needs, and support with secretarial tasks as needed.

* Monitor assigned district activities and/or program components for the purpose of ensuring compliance with financial, legal, and/or administrative requirements.

* Process a variety of documents, mail, and materials for the purpose of disseminating information to appropriate parties. Type correspondence, reports, documents, and forms as needed.

* Prepare and maintain a variety of records, reports and written materials, which includes generating and collecting database information to analyze data, for the purpose of conveying reliable information and meeting state, federal, and/or district requirements.

* Prepare and maintain department budget.

* Maintain a variety of student records and files for the purpose of documenting and/or providing reliable information.

* Maintain a variety of information, files, and records for the purpose of providing an up-to-date reference and audit trail for compliance.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Perform other related duties as assigned.
