Part‑time Cybersecurity Professor – Continuous Pool

Clark College seeks part‑time Cybersecurity Professors for a hybrid schedule: two days at home, three days on campus. Professors will teach introductory courses in one or more of the following topics:
- Python programming for beginners
- CompTIA Network+
- CompTIA Security+
- IoT (breadboard, sensors, Raspberry Pi/Arduino)
- Big data analytics (Hadoop, AWS)
- CompTIA CySA+
This part‑time position is an ongoing recruitment; applications are accepted year‑round. Applicants must be available to teach daytime, evening, or weekend hours. Positions will be filled as program needs arise.
GENERAL FACULTY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Instruct classes using techniques that facilitate student learning.
- Participate in department and college committees.
- Pursue professional development and enhance teaching techniques.
- Work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds.
- Support the mission of Clark College.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND
COMPETENCIES:
- Associate’s degree in Cybersecurity or related field.
- Three years of professional IT/IS experience related to the teaching assignment.
- Teaching experience.
- Current industry certifications (CompTIA, CISSP) relevant to the courses.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
SALARY STATEMENT: Lecture rate is $93.18/hour; lab rate is $79.59/hour.
