This is a Continuing Position.

Evergreen Public Schools (EPS) offers the following benefits for eligible employees who work at least 630 hours in a school year.

Essential Functions
  • Support PLCs integrating GVC, high-leverage practices, and language development aligned to core and language proficiency standards; lead lesson design, student work analysis, and data-informed decisions to improve both content and language outcomes.
  • Partner with the building leadership team to design, develop, and facilitate professional learning.
  • Facilitate analysis of multiple student data sources—including language proficiency data—to drive content and language growth within a plan-do-study-act cycle.
  • Implement a collaborative coaching model that includes co-planning, lesson modeling, observation, and reflective coaching designed to integrate language development and sheltered instruction into core content.
  • Provide differentiated, classroom‑based coaching to support teachers in implementing best instructional practices that simultaneously address content and language objectives.
  • Assist teachers in aligning core instruction with appropriate language and content standards, curriculum, and assessments.
  • Guide the development of language objectives, scaffolds, and student discourse opportunities to enhance content learning.
  • Engage in ongoing professional learning to build understanding and skill in coaching practices that integrate content and language, including PDSA cycles, district and content‑based professional development, and ML department calibration and training structures to ensure alignment and effectiveness.
  • Participate and/or help facilitate the Instructional Leadership Team.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, ML para‑educators, and specialists to contribute to a positive and productive school culture.
  • Serve on student study and IEP (Critical Data Process) teams as an instruction and language acquisition expert.
  • Monitor Multilingual Learner progress and support compliance with state and federal requirements.
  • Support integration of English Language Proficiency Standards within core instruction and English language development strategies/high leverage practices.
  • Coordinate state and district screeners and assessments.
  • Support family communication structures when language access or cultural considerations are relevant.
  • Assist with scheduling, monitoring, and service delivery for Multilingual Learners.
  • Support teachers with family communication about language progress.
  • Provide documentation related to the multilingual program as needed.
  • Support and engage with school improvement goals.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Required

  • Valid Washington State Teaching Certificate.
  • Multilingual Learner (ELL and/or Bilingual) Endorsement required.
  • Minimum five years of successful classroom teaching experience.
  • Demonstrated experience working with multilingual learners.
