Clark College is currently accepting applications for multiple part-time Biology Professor positions. Applicants must be available to teach in-person during the daytime or evening hours. We are particularly interested in instructors who can teach Majors Cell/Molecular Biology, Majors Organismal Physiology, Microbiology, and/or General Biology. The lecture rate is $93.18 per hour and the lab rate is $79.59 per hour.
This is a part-time faculty position and is not eligible for employee-sponsored benefits.
Position Responsibilities- Instruct Biology classes utilizing techniques and knowledge of the discipline that facilitate student learning.
- Participate in decision‑making processes by taking part in department and college committees.
- Pursue professional development.
- Strive to enhance teaching and learning techniques.
- Work well with people of all ages from academically, culturally, and socioeconomically diverse backgrounds.
- Understand and commit to the mission of Clark College.
- Effectively assess student progress and provide timely feedback.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and participate in relevant department activities that support the teaching and learning environment.
- Effectively use computer applications (such as Canvas) and email for instruction and communication where appropriate.
- Master’s Degree in Biology or a closely related field (with significant graduate coursework in biology) or a closely related field.
- Teaching experience.
- Ability to work well as a member of a team.
Lecture hourly rate is $93.18, and lab hourly rate is $79.59.
