Are you eager to work collaboratively to find innovative ways to improve student success? Clark College is currently seeking to fill a Part‑time Theatre Professor position. This is a part‑time faculty position, not eligible for employer‑sponsored benefits, and applicants must be available to teach in‑person in the daytime, evening or weekend hours.
Positions will be filled as program needs arise.
- Instruct classes utilizing techniques and knowledge of the discipline that facilitate student learning.
- Participate in decision-making processes by taking part in department and college committees.
- Pursue professional development.
- Strive to enhance teaching and learning techniques.
- Work well with people of all ages from academically, culturally, and socioeconomically diverse backgrounds.
- Understand and commit to the mission of Clark College.
- Master’s degree in Drama, Theatre, or Fine Arts AND three (3) years of experience in professional or academic theatre OR Bachelor’s degree in Drama, Theatre or Fine Arts AND five (5) years of experience in professional or academic theatre.
- Ability to work well with people of all ages from academically, culturally, and socioeconomically diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to teach a variety of theatre courses including Introduction to Theatre, Stagecraft, and Acting.
Lecture rate $95.60/hour,
lab rate $81.66/hour.
This position requires a background check, including a sexual misconduct background check, and a Vocational Certification plan must be in place prior to the first day of classes as required under Washington Administrative Code and the State Board of Community and Technical Colleges.
