Chemistry Professor

Clark College is currently seeking to fill multiple part-time Chemistry Professor positions. This will be an ongoing recruitment in which applications are collected year-round. Applicants must be available to teach the daytime, evening or weekend hours. These positions work fully in-person. Positions will be filled as program needs arise. This is a part-time faculty position and is not eligible for employer-sponsored benefits.

Position Responsibilities

General Faculty Responsibilities:

  • Instruct classes utilizing techniques and knowledge of the discipline that facilitate student learning.
  • Participate in decision-making processes by taking part in department and college committees.

  • Strive to enhance teaching and learning techniques.
  • Work well with people of all ages from academically, culturally, and socioeconomically diverse backgrounds.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Master's degree in chemistry or a closely related field (with significant graduate coursework in chemistry).
  • Teaching experience.
  • Ability to work as a member of a team.
  • Ability to work well with people of all ages from academically, culturally, and socioeconomically diverse backgrounds.

Salary statement:
Lecture hourly rate is $95.60, and lab hourly rate is $81.66.
