School Psychologist

This is a Continuing Position.

Evergreen Public Schools (EPS) offers the following to eligible employees who work at least 630 hours in a school year:

Description:

School Psychologists provide services that assist parents and professionals in meeting the educational and social/emotional/behavioral and mental health needs of children and youth. School psychologists perform Child Find responsibilities and are required to provide a balanced set of school psychologist skills that include behavioral and academic assessment, intervention design with system level supports and consultation.

Essential Functions:

• Provide academic, cognitive, & behavioral assessments for student's pre-K through 21 that are relevant to the presenting problem and student characteristics and are intervention and results oriented.
• Facilitate the Building Assessment Team in the assessment and evaluation of students, including Functional Behavior Assessments.
• Case manage student evaluations.
• Participate in intakes of new students entering the district or school.
• Provide individual and group therapy with students.
• Provide support to classroom teachers in facilitation of daily social skills groups.
• Provide leadership in the building in utilization of multitier systems of support for behavior including PBIS, social emotional learning, and Collaborative Problem Solving techniques.
• Monitor and support implementation of systems of support and individual student plans.
• Lead team meetings with classroom staff to formulate intervention strategies for individual students and for the classroom.
• Provide services that assist parents and professionals in meeting the educational and mental health needs of children and youth.
• Consult and collaborate with educators, parents, children and other professionals or agencies to improve student outcomes.
• Work effectively and cooperatively with parents, teachers, administrators, support staff, and community.
• Develop individual, group or system level interventions, which improve or resolve social, emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs as they relate to educational progress.
• Provide support, instruction, technical assistance, and ongoing monitoring of progress toward measurable, identified goals for students at individual, group, or systems level.
• Participate in personal ongoing professional development through membership in professional organizations, staff development, consulting, and research.
• Involvement in data analysis and evaluation, using data outcomes for implementing plans at an individual, group or systems level.
• Assist the program with the supervision of interns and/or practicum students.
