Clark College is accepting applications for a full-time, permanent classified Program Manager B position in the Community, Continuing Education & Customized Training department. This position is based in person at Clark College's Columbia Tech Center location and typically works Monday through Friday, with scheduled hours between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. This position is responsible for overseeing the department's operational functions, including budget management, invoice and purchase order processing, and records management.

This position also supports the growth and administration of the Customized Training program and its processes, while assisting with oversight and compliance for the Job Skills Program (JSP) contract. The Program Manager B reports to the Director of Community, Continuing Education & Customized Training.

Position Responsibilities

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate overall department operations.
  • Support the growth and management of Customized Training.
  • Manage and prepare JSP grant and/or contract proposals.
  • Budgetary tasks including invoices, transfers, and PO's, fund management.
  • Prepare and maintain administrative, business, and academic records and reports.
  • Perform related duties as required.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS AND

COMPETENCIES:

Candidates will be evaluated based on application materials, including the supplemental questions and personal interview(s), and will be required to demonstrate competencies in the following areas:

  • Bachelor's degree AND one (1) year of related administrative OR equivalent work experience in place of education on a year for year basis.
  • Experience leading employees and/or programs.
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, as well as the ability to quickly learn new software systems as required.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with diverse groups and individuals.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

  • The initial appointment will include a 6-month probationary period and the employee will earn permanent status after successfully completing probation.
