ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Help us build an incredible Club experience for teens by working collaboratively to create a positive, welcoming environment where young people feel a strong sense of belonging, develop leadership skills, explore opportunities, and prepare for success beyond high school.
- Plan and oversee the administration of programs and activities that support teens in developing academic, career, leadership, social-emotional, and life skills while creating meaningful relationships with youth, families, schools, and community partners.
- Coach and supervise staff by providing and receiving clear, ongoing feedback and completing performance reviews to support employee development and growth
- Collaborate with the Area Director and People Specialist to recruit, onboard, and train Club staff
- Understand and implement organizational policies, procedures, and goals and ensure all direct reports are informed
- Manage Club expenditures within the approved budget in collaboration with the Area Director
- Oversee the Club facility and grounds by following our Safety & Operations Core Process
- Create work schedules for Club staff; support evening and weekend programming and events, and on-call support
- Foster a culture of learning within the Club by providing ongoing training and professional development to Club staff
- Collaborate with Area Directors and the Director of Youth & Family Services to facilitate training for Club staff
- Observe programming offered at the Club and provide guidance and feedback to staff based on weekly observations
- Develop a strong team culture that encourages staff to build authentic, age-appropriate relationships with teens
- Maintain a healthy, safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment where teens feel respected, heard, and valued
- Build positive relationships with parents/guardians while recognizing and supporting the growing independence of teens
- Support Program Leads in creating and implementing programs and activities aligned with key Outcome Areas, including Health & Wellbeing, Academic Success, Life & Workforce Readiness, and Character & Leadership, to prepare teens for success in school, in work, and in life.
- Ensure teens have access to meaningful opportunities for leadership, service, personal growth, and skill development
- Support programming that provides coaching and training to Youth Development Professionals to facilitate meaningful small groups focused on social-emotional health, relationships, identity, decision-making, and life skills
- Prepare and maintain program binders in program spaces that include monthly program calendars, daily schedules, program reports, incident reports, parent communication templates, and space for notes
- Communicate daily and quarterly schedules of programs with staff, youth, families, and school/community partners
- Respond restoratively to significant behaviors/incidents, document and follow up with youth/family using the BGCSW Incident Report Process
- Schedule program assessments, including Youth Program Quality Assessment (YPQA), in collaboration with the Area Director and appropriate program leadership
