Position: School Speech Language Pathologist  Long Term Sub (10075 LTS SPED)

Long Term Substitute Position

2026- 2027 School Year

1.0 FTE

This is a Long Term Substitute position.

Work dates are 08/24/2026 to approximately 11/17/2026.

This position will remain open until a qualified applicant is selected.

Evergreen Public Schools (EPS) offers the following to eligible employees who work at least 630 hours in a school year:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Participate as a member of a building team in the assessment and evaluation of students.
  • Conduct diagnostic speech/language and communication assessments, identify needs, prepare therapy plans and participate in eligibility and IEP conferences.
  • Based upon student assessment, develop and implement Individualized Education Plans.
  • Provide therapeutic services to students with identified Communication Disorders, including case management for communication disordered only students.
  • Work collaboratively with special education and general education teams in developing and delivering speech-language services to support communication skills relevant to educational performance.
  • Monitor student's progress in therapy and generate progress reports and complete Medicaid electronic logs for eligible students.
  • Consult and communicate with other professionals and students' families regarding the needs of students.
  • Work effectively and cooperatively with parents, teachers, administrators, support staff, and community.
  • Develop documentation, training materials, and reports; and apply and communicate AT policies and guidelines.
  • Provide technical support for assistive technology, including troubleshooting, configuration, maintenance, and user access needs.
  • Collaborate with district staff, technology services, instructional coaches, and external vendors to support AT systems and resolve issues.
  • Maintain equipment inventory and records, including licenses, warranties, repairs, and upgrades.
  • Support planning efforts such as budgets and grants, and stay current with assistive technology advancements.
  • Provide user support for system access, password management, backups, and travel as needed for departmental duties.
