About

The Role

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a key role in the development and industrialisation of new products, ensuring they are ready for efficient, safe, and cost-effective manufacture. You will support and optimise production processes and systems from early design through to full-scale production, accelerating time to market while minimising risk.

Working cross-functionally with manufacturing, engineering, product management, and program teams, you will ensure new products leverage existing components, tools, processes, and systems wherever possible. You will also ensure component availability and mitigate obsolescence risks, while enabling the design and sourcing of required cable assemblies, accessories, and product kits.

This role requires a structured, analytical approach to problem-solving and a strong focus on quality, cost, safety, and delivery performance across both internal operations and the supplier network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and industrialisation of new products for manufacturing readiness
  • Ensure robust, cost-efficient, and safe manufacturing processes using Design for Manufacture (DFM) and Value Engineering principles
  • Support and maintain production processes and systems qualified for new products
  • Drive the use of existing components, tooling, jigs, and systems to improve efficiency and reduce risk
  • Apply structured root cause analysis to address quality, cost, or delivery issues
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement across manufacturing operations
  • Participate in concurrent engineering activities and design reviews to minimise development cost and maximise product lifecycle
  • Support the operation and deployment of Automated Test Equipment (ATE) internally and at supplier sites
  • Ensure suppliers and production teams can deliver goods and services safely, on time, and to the required quality and cost targets
About You

The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and product industrialisation, with practical experience in wiring and electronic equipment manufacturing. The role requires the ability to support products from design through to production within quality-driven manufacturing environments.

A degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline, is required, along with a sound understanding of Material Resource Planning (MRP), Bills of Materials (BOM), and material planning principles. The role involves interpreting schematics and applying structured, data-driven problem-solving techniques to address quality, cost, and delivery challenges.

The position requires effective collaboration across cross-functional teams and with suppliers, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and robust, efficient manufacturing outcomes. Familiarity with CAD systems is beneficial, with basic competence in 2D and 3D CAD tools such as Solid Works, PADS, and MS Visio considered an advantage.

Benefits And Culture

Our culture is supportive and collaborative. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team where we share our ideas and innovation is strongly encouraged. We are looking for someone with genuine passion and a can-do attitude. Our staff receive 15 days accrued paid time off per year, 10 Federal holidays, an opportunity to join our sponsored health plan, a generous 401k plan with immediate vesting and a matching employer contribution, an Employee Assistance Program, and more.

Additionally, we offer flexible core working hours and we take a personal approach to training and development.
