We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer (PE) to be an integral part of our full-service design team. In this dynamic role, you will collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, clients, and vendors to bring exceptional designs to life across a variety of markets—including office buildings, schools, multifamily residences, hotels, restaurants, banks, and retail spaces.
Mechanical Engineer Responsibilities:- Lead and mentor mechanical design staff throughout all project phases, from concept to construction administration.
- Develop and manage HVAC and plumbing systems, drawings, and specifications within a multidisciplinary project team.
- Perform load calculations for heating, cooling, ventilation, and plumbing systems using industry-standard software.
- Select major system equipment and coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and manufacturers.
- Ensure all mechanical designs align with company quality standards, energy codes, and project requirements.
- Provide construction phase support by responding to contractor inquiries and ensuring constructability of design solutions.
- Active Mechanical Professional Engineer (PE) License
. - Minimum of 7 years of experience in building mechanical systems design.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, codes, and energy efficiency requirements.
- Proficiency with Autodesk Revit, Microsoft 365, Bluebeam, and energy modeling tools such as Carrier HAP (or equivalent).
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities independently while also collaborating effectively within a team.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to mentor junior staff and maintain positive client relationships.
