Responsibilities include extensive fieldwork and travel (up to 95%), along with laboratory testing and validation of equipment and systems to ensure reliability, compliance, and operational readiness.
This is a 2 year plus consultant position with high probability of long term and ongoing continued employment. This position is full time on site based in Vancouver, WA with onsite 5 days per week. The hourly pay rate range for this position (which includes a health and welfare fringe benefit of $5.09) is between $43.28 and $47.09 depending on related qualifications and experience, as well as composition of selected compensation package.
The ideal candidate must possess the minimum qualifications:
6 months of Electrical Engineering experience is required.
Candidates 3 months from graduation will be considered. Proof of degree may be requested after graduation. ** (Request attestation from supplier confirming degree was obtained) *
* Knowledge of engineering concepts, principles, and practices applicable to components and facilities found on a regional transmission system is required.
Training or experience in communications, control systems, or SCADA sufficient to allow knowledge development of design standards through on the job training.
The intent is for the Engineer to review and correct communications, control, and SCADA design.
Demonstrated ability to read and understand electrical schematics and prints to determine how communications and control systems operate.
Valid U.S. Driver's License or RealID is required.
Preferred Skills:
3 months experience using technical skills, communications standards, and industry approved work standards.
