• Support the sales effort by providing systems engineering, designing layouts, sourcing and specifying buyout components, and developing drawings during the quoting process.
• Create 3D models and support conveyor systems engineering.
• Assist in ordering system-related components in coordination with AE, Mechanical Engineering, and Purchasing.
• Conduct research on new systems and related technologies.
• Provide analysis for approval packages and turnovers, evaluating customer, quotation, and mechanical engineering information for buyout items.
• Support systems costing and develop costing and tracking tools for special projects.
• Serve as the primary after‑sale point of contact for Project Management regarding buyout components, addressing technical queries and ensuring clear communication with internal and external customers.
• Manage key vendor/partner relationships and orders to ensure technical compliance, reduce financial risk, and maximize financial performance on projects.
• Travel up to 25% to support sales and site project management efforts.
• Improve operating efficiencies by participating in cross‑functional teams, eliminating non‑value‑added activities, and documenting processes.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge through educational workshops, professional publications, personal networks, and professional societies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or 7 years of experience in the field may substitute).
• 5+ years of professional experience.
• Experience with analyzing job results, planning workflow, and maintaining production schedules on multiple simultaneous projects.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, HyCAD, Inventor (or equivalent 3D CAD software).
• Strong analytical, project/process management, interpersonal, written and oral communication, and computer/technical skills.
• Ability to handle abstract and concrete variables and demonstrate creative thinking.

Employee may work in a job site environment, measuring site or troubleshooting equipment. Common physical demands include exposure to extreme cold (temperatures below 32°F for extended periods), high noise levels requiring shouting to be heard, and hazards such as moving mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical current, scaffolding, chemicals, and fumes. Required personal protective equipment includes safety glasses and hearing protection. Work includes routine office environment and travel up to 25% for sales and site project management.
