Join AZAD Technology Partners as a CAD Technician and provide quality design, layout, and production of engineering, civil, mechanical, electrical, and fiber optic drawings within the Communications and Control Planning organization.
This position will perform necessary research using standard plans, profiles, hardware, civil, and survey drawings to control product reliability and accuracy for engineering, technical, and commercial applications. It may assist other Transmission Planning organizations, such as Transmission Planning and Customer Service Engineering, with CAD tasks as needed.
This is a 2 year plus consultant position with high probability of long term and ongoing continued employment. The position is hybrid, based in Vancouver, WA, with onsite 1-2 days per week.
The hourly pay rate for this position is $46.09 (which includes a health and welfare fringe benefit of $5.09) depending on related qualifications and experience, as well as composition of selected compensation package.
Minimum Qualifications- High school diploma or GED (required)
- Associate's degree or higher in a technical CAD training program (preferred)
- 4 years of civil, structural, or electrical CAD drafting experience (required)
- Knowledge and certified training or experience in Micro Station or AutoCAD (required)
- Working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) (required)
- Valid US Driver's License or RealID (required)
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks with accuracy and timeliness.
- Proficiency in mathematical computations related to algebra and trigonometry, ability to handle multiple concurrent activities, and perform engineering design using the CAD system in a multi-disciplined production environment.
- Professional demeanor reflected in excellent written and oral communication, listening skills, patience, analytical reasoning, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to meet timelines, milestones, and deliverables and provide weekly status updates if requested.
