Position Summary
As a CAD Technician with AZAD Technology Partners, you will deliver high‑quality design, layout, and production of engineering, civil, mechanical, electrical, and fiber optic drawings within the Communications and Control Planning organization. The role supports research using standard, plan and profile, hardware, civil, and survey drawings to ensure product reliability and accuracy.
Responsibilities- Produce engineering, civil, mechanical, electrical, and fiber optic drawings.
- Conduct required research using standard, plan and profile, hardware, civil, and survey drawings.
- Assist other Transmission Planning organizations with CAD tasks as needed.
- Maintain project timelines, milestones, and deliverables, providing weekly status updates when requested.
- High school diploma or GED required; associate’s degree or higher in a technical CAD training program preferred.
- Minimum 4 years of civil, structural, or electrical CAD drafting experience.
- Proficiency in Micro Station or AutoCAD.
- Working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word).
- Valid U.S. Driver’s License or RealID.
- Ability to work independently and complete tasks accurately and timely.
- Ability to perform mathematical computations related to algebra and trigonometry, manage multiple concurrent activities, and conduct engineering design using the CAD system in a multi‑disciplined production environment.
- Professional demeanor with excellent written and oral communication, listening, patience, analytical reasoning, and problem‑solving abilities.
This is a 2‑year plus consultant position with a high probability of long‑term employment. The role is hybrid based in Vancouver, WA, requiring onsite presence 1–2 days per week. Hourly pay ranges from $29.09 to $46.09, inclusive of a $5.09 health and welfare fringe benefit, depending on qualifications and experience.
