Project Engineer, Engineering Design & Technologists

Onboard Systems Inc seeks a Project Engineer to support the design, analysis, testing, and production of helicopter cargo hooks and external load equipment. In this role, you will develop 3D models and drawings, coordinate with manufacturing and quality teams, and help ensure products meet rigorous aviation safety and reliability standards. You will manage project tasks, support prototype builds and qualification tests, and contribute to continuous improvement of designs, documentation, and processes in a collaborative, quality-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze helicopter cargo hooks and external load equipment using CAD and engineering tools.
• Prepare detailed 3
• D models, drawings, and engineering documentation to support manufacturing and certification.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain to ensure designs are manufacturable, reliable, and cost-effective.
• Plan and support prototype builds, functional tests, and qualification activities to meet aviation safety standards.
• Manage project tasks, schedules, and technical deliverables, reporting progress to engineering leadership.
• Drive continuous improvement of designs, documentation, and engineering processes in accordance with AS9100 or similar standards.
