About Team Vancouver:
Team Vancouver is one of 17 local audit teams within the Office of the Washington State Auditor and is responsible for conducting audits for more than 140 governments in southwest Washington, including Clark, Cowlitz, Skamania, Klickitat and Wahkiakum Counties. The team conducts accountability, financial and federal grant compliance audits on a wide array of entity types including cities, counties, school districts, fire districts, public utility districts, ports and more.

Audit Managers perform a critical role in the accomplishment of agency objectives. They are:
- Leading the teams in alignment with the agency mission of promoting government accountability, fiscal integrity and openness in government;
- Directly responsible for the audit work performed by the team;
- Serving as a critical link between executive management, the team, audit clients, and citizens;
- Setting direction and expectations for their teams;
- Providing an exemplary role model for staff;
- Constantly learning, teaching and coaching.
Audit Managers are expected to meet expectations in the following areas:

Required:
Bachelor's degree in public administration, accounting, finance or related field, and a strong knowledge of auditing standards, accounting principles, financial statement preparation, legal compliance issues, and federal grant requirements and standards. Also requires a thorough understanding of management principles and prior supervisory experience. (Relevant professional experience may substitute on a year for year basis for formal education requirements.) Knowledge of:
Authoritative publications and standards this position is required to be familiar with include: AICPA audit standards and industry guides, GASB pronouncements, FASB regulations, GAAP standards. Washington State RCWs and WACs, federal government audit standards, OMB circulars, CFR rules, and federal agency regulations.
