Healthcare Executive Placements, Inc. (HCEPInc) is seeking a Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist for a W2 Contract position based in Milpitas, California.
Schedule: Full time, 4 10's Days, M - F, off on Thursday, 8:00am-6:00pm
Assignment Duration:13 Weeks with high likelihood of extending
Hourly Rate:This position offers an hourly rate between $75.00 to $80.00 which equates to $3,000 to $3,200 per week (based on a 40-hour workweek.

Summary:The Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) provides diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative services to children with communication, language, and swallowing disorders. This role is responsible for evaluating developmental delays, autism spectrum disorders, and other pediatric communication needs, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based interventions. The Pediatric SLP collaborates with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to promote optimal communication and developmental outcomes for children.
Essential Functions:- Conducts comprehensive speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing evaluations for pediatric patients.
- Develops and implements individualized therapy plans addressing conditions such as autism spectrum disorder, delayed speech and language development, fluency disorders, and articulation difficulties.
- Provides evidence-based therapeutic interventions in clinic, school, and/or home settings.
- Engages families and caregivers in treatment planning and education, providing strategies to support carryover of skills at home.
- Collaborates with pediatricians, occupational and physical therapists, psychologists, educators, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Monitors patient progress and adjusts treatment plans as needed to support developmental milestones and goals.
- Maintains accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, treatment sessions, and progress reports in compliance with professional and organizational standards.
- Participates in interdisciplinary team meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing education to advance pediatric clinical expertise.
- Provides family-centered education and resources for long-term communication and developmental support.
- Current Speech Language Pathologist license in the state of California (CA Lic) required.
- Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Minimum of 1 year of pediatric clinical experience preferred.
- Experience working with children with autism spectrum disorder, developmental delays, and other pediatric communication needs strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based interventions for pediatric speech and language development.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and family engagement skills.
- Ability to manage a diverse pediatric caseload in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
