Job Overview
Join the Urgent Care team as a full‑time Washington State credentialed Medical Assistant‑Certified. Compensation ranges from $22.25 to $27.50 per hour and includes a $2,500 hire bonus, subject to repayment terms and applicable tax withholding. Eligible new hires only.
ScheduleFull‑time (40 hours/week):
- Wednesday (6.5 hour shift)
- Thursday (12 hour shift)
- Friday (12 hour shift)
- Every other weekend (9.5 hour shifts each day)
- Shifts between 6:30 AM and 8:30 PM
Full‑time (40 hours/week) at alternative location:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Available differentials:
Evening ($3.00/hour), Saturday and Sunday ($2.50/hour)
- Room patients, take manual vitals, and operate an automated BP machine.
- Collect data and report in the EMR, work in the MA in‑basket managing prescription requests.
- Perform clinical skills such as ear lavage, EKG, sterile set‑up, injections, immunizations, point‑of‑care testing, swabbing, and phlebotomy.
- Receive and make phone calls to other departments, patients, and peers.
- Use critical thinking skills to find resources and follow protocols and policies.
- Work independently and as a team member.
- Wear a mask all day and an N95 in cases where protocol directs.
- Demonstrate strong time‑management and delegation skills to prioritize workflow.
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program required.
- Certification from a national certifying entity (AAMA, NCCT, AMT, NHA, etc.) required.
- Current Washington State Medical Assistant‑Certified credential required, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
- Current healthcare provider BLS required.
The clinic provides care across a wide range of medical decisions, including vaccinations, reproductive health, end‑of‑life decision‑making, and gender‑affirming treatment. The ability to work with a diverse population of patients and colleagues, with or without reasonable accommodation, is an essential function of this position.
