Clinic Assistant - Mental

Vancouver Clinic is seeking a Clinic Assistant to join our Mental Health team! This person will serve as a key administrative support role within the Mental Health Department, focusing on patient access, referral management, scheduling coordination, therapist support, patient outreach, and work queue management. This non-clinical role helps patients access timely mental health services while supporting therapists through panel management, scheduling coordination, and administrative workflow support.

Responsibilities:
Manage incoming referrals and work queues to ensure timely patient outreach and scheduling. Schedule mental health consults, follow-up appointments, and recurring therapy visits. Support therapist panel management and conduct outreach to patients overdue for follow-up care. Maintain waitlists and fill appointment openings to improve patient access. Coordinate closely with therapists regarding scheduling needs and patient care coordination activities. Communicate and document late cancellations and no-show occurrences in accordance with department policies.

Provide patients with community behavioral health resources when services are not available internally. Answer incoming calls and assist patients in navigating mental health services. Process referrals, document outreach attempts, and maintain accurate records in Epic. Complete administrative tasks and department workflows as assigned.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm

Hiring Range: hourly compensation minimum is $18.16/hr, dependent on qualifications and professional experience.

Base Medical, Dental, and Rx Insurance premium is 100% paid for by Vancouver Clinic for full-time employees.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years’ experience in a health care environment preferred.
• Epic EHR experience preferred.

Pay Range: $18.70 - $26.17

Compensation packages and time off programs vary and are dependent on factors such as department, position type, primary work state and FTE.
