Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team at Vancouver Specialty & Rehabilitation Care in Vancouver, WA. As a COTA, you will work closely with patients to design and implement individualized occupational therapy plans, promoting independence and rehabilitation in our state-of-the-art facility.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist occupational therapists in the delivery of occupational therapy services to patients, including conducting patient assessments, developing treatment plans, and implementing interventions
  • Carry out daily routines and activities with patients, such as feeding, dressing, bathing, and transferring as needed
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure the delivery of high-quality care
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient treatments and progress
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to share knowledge and expertise
  • Demonstrate a commitment to excellence in patient care and continually strive to improve skills and knowledge
Requirements:
  • Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher in occupational therapy preferred
  • 0 years of experience; willing to train and learn with our experienced team
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift, transfer, and support patients as needed
