Summary and Qualifications
The Sr. Specialist, Campus Recruitment will execute university relations strategies, support execution of the DVM and VT externships, student job program and student ambassador program and develop early talent pipelines in partnership with the field and greater Talent Acquisition.
Must have campus recruiting experience.
Essential Responsibilities and Tasks- Live and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars, Inc. within self and team.
- Partner with campus teams to build strategy and execute relationship building activities with students, faculty and staff at veterinary and veterinary technology colleges and universities.
- Execute planning and implementation of DVM and VT Externships, Student Job Program and Student Ambassador Program.
- Partner with DVM and VT recruitment teams to maintain flow of early pipeline talent.
- Partner with Employer Branding, Marketing and Corporate Affairs to create engaging programs collateral, program content and communications.
- Provide support for development of new student experiences and lead continuous improvement efforts for existing programs.
- Provide training and communication for field and hospitals participating in student programs.
- Partner with external vendors on program execution maintaining operational excellence.
- Partner with Campus Liaisons, Student Ambassadors, and recruiters to plan and execute campus events and sponsor ships with partnership.
- Manage and maintain library of campus resources on Teams.
- Identify, train, and engage with area student programs champions.
- Other job duties as assigned.
- Up to 50% travel is required.
- Ability to work at a computer for long periods of time.
- Project timelines and work volume/deadlines may often require more than 40 hours per week to complete essential duties of this job.
- Must have mental processes for reasoning, remembering, mathematics and language ability (reading, writing, and speaking the English language) to perform the duties proficiently.
- Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and to solve problems involving several variables.
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as well as manipulate (lift, carry, move) up to 50 pounds.
- Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm-hand-finger dexterity with the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard and operate necessary equipment.
- The noise level in the work environment is normally moderate.
- Environment where pets are present.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or Veterinary is preferred, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Five years of experience with campus recruiting, talent acquisition, project and/or event management; or five years of combined experience in veterinary hospitals including line management and experience working with student interns and externs are required.
- The ability to communicate with a variety of associates and individuals across a variety of locations and levels is required.
- Experience with Phenom CRM and Workday ATS is preferred.
The pay range for this role is $75,029 - $103,165. The pay range listed reflects a general hiring range for the area, with the specific rate determined based on the candidate’s experience, skill level, abilities, and education, and may vary depending on location and schedule.
