Cybersecurity Engineer
GDIT is seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Engineer with experience in tools and infrastructure support to join our team, supporting the application-level administration of critical systems used by the Office of Cybersecurity Systems (OCS).
Responsibilities- Administer and maintain specialized forensic tools and infrastructure, including FTK, Magnet Axiom Cyber, FRED physical systems, and others.
- Implement application-level patches, conduct routine maintenance, and perform system stability activities.
- Manage user accounts, collaborate with teams to align user roles and compliance requirements.
- Configure, customize, and optimize tools such as Extra Hop, Cellebrite, Splunk, and Palo Alto XSOAR.
- Deploy new systems and capabilities, including rollout of Magnet Axiom Cyber and integration with existing infrastructure.
- Serve as point of contact for troubleshooting escalated issues and collaborate with IT, security, and forensic specialists.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing forensic and cybersecurity tools.
- Experience deploying and managing Magnet Axiom Cyber or similar platforms.
- Proven application-level configuration and patching in a documented and secure manner.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Adaptability to fast‑changing cybersecurity threats and forensic demands.
- Preferred certifications:
Splunk Certified Architect, Cellebrite Certified Examiner (CCE), Palo Alto certifications.
Location: On‑site required
Citizenship: US citizenship required – must hold Active Secret, Top Secret, DOE L, or DOE Q clearance.
