Zoom Info is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our Innovation Data Science team to develop cutting-edge NLP and Topic Modeling solutions within our industry-leading B2B sales and marketing intelligence platform. We collaborate closely with data scientists, product managers, ML engineers, and domain experts to build state-of-the-art NLP models that drive customer engagement and sales intelligence. Our work powers enterprise-scale AI applications that extract insights from vast amounts of unstructured text.

What you will do

As part of our Innovation Data Science team, you will be working on developing and deploying NLP models that extract, classify, and structure unstructured text data to support key business use cases:

• Develop advanced Topic Modeling solutions to extract meaningful themes from large-scale text data.
• Apply Named Entity Recognition (NER) to identify key entities (companies, products, industry terms) and structure raw text data.
• Leverage Large Language Models to enhance entity linking, text classification, and document understanding.
• Conduct Sentiment Analysis and Anomaly Detection to surface key business signals and customer insights.
• Design and implement scalable NLP pipelines, ensuring efficient text processing, inference, and deployment in real-world applications.
• Collaborate with ML engineers to deploy models at scale using MLOps best practices, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), and distributed systems (Spark, Ray, etc.).
• Stay ahead of the latest advances in NLP and AI, ensuring our solutions leverage state-of-the-art deep learning architectures and model fine-tuning techniques.

What you will bring

• MS + 5 years or PhD + 3 years in a quantitative field (Computer Science, AI, ML, EE, Physics, Applied Math, etc.).
• Deep expertise in Recommender Systems, Scoring Models, and Signal Ranking Algorithms.
• Strong experience in Named Entity Recognition (NER) using decoder-only and/or encoder-only LLM models.
• Hands-on experience with ML frameworks (PyTorch, Tensor Flow, Hugging Face, Spa Cy, Transformers, Gensim).
• Familiarity with LLM fine-tuning techniques and model optimization (distillation, reinforcement learning with human feedback, model compression).
• Experience developing scalable data and model pipelines using cloud tools like Dataproc, EMR, Airflow, FAISS, Pinecone, or equivalent.
• Strong ability to communicate complex NLP concepts to cross-functional teams and business stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and distributed computing frameworks (such as Spark and Ray).
• A data-centric mindset, capable of exploring vast datasets and identifying patterns that drive business impact.

Actual compensation offered will be based on factors such as the candidate’s work location, qualifications, skills, experience and/or training. Your recruiter can share more information about the specific salary range for your desired work location during the hiring process.

Below is the US base salary for this position. Additional compensation such as Bonus, Commission, Equity and other benefits may also apply.: $167,760 USD - $230,670 USD
