IT Project Manager, IT Consultant
Overview
Join AZAD as a Project Manager and provide project management support and assistance to the Transmission Technology Services Strategy & Internal Operations organization. This position will work closely with the Controls & Communications, Operational Services, and Application Services organizations to coordinate, shepherd, and facilitate Control Center and Telecom projects from inception to conclusion. Under the guidance of the Portfolio Manager, the Project Manager will work with project teams to draft project plans, facilitate and coordinate project activities, and track, monitor, and provide detailed reporting for multiple designated projects.
This is a 2 year plus consultant position with a high probability of long-term and ongoing continued employment. The position is hybrid based in Vancouver, WA with onsite 2 days per week.
Responsibilities- Draft project plans and facilitate coordinated project activities across multiple teams (Controls & Communications, Operational Services, Application Services).
- Track, monitor, and report on progress for multiple designated projects from inception to completion.
- Collaborate with the Portfolio Manager and project teams to ensure alignment with objectives and timelines.
- Minimum qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration, computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related technical discipline is preferred.
- 10 years of experience required with an applicable bachelor’s degree.
- 14 years of direct work experience required without a degree or with a non-applicable bachelor’s degree.
- Experience in project management of full lifecycle IT Software, IT Hardware, Data Integration, Telecom and/or Network Infrastructure projects; ability to develop technical specifications and project plans for medium-to large-sized projects.
- Advanced MS Project skills covering timelines, dependencies, milestones, and resource management.
- Experience managing IT Software, IT Hardware, Data Integration, Telecom and/or Network Infrastructure projects and/or Applications Integrations projects per industry project management principles.
- Expertise in supporting the full lifecycle of projects through the IT Systems Development Lifecycle.
- Strong ability to elicit information from stakeholders and communicate through Project Plans, Functional & Technical Specifications, Schedules, Resource Plans, Budgets, and Presentations.
- Demonstrated experience with expert-level communication and customer service in a large agency environment with multiple stakeholders.
- Valid U.S. Driver's License/Real .
- Preferred:
- Experience delivering projects with Cyber security and/or compliance requirements (e.g., NERC-CIP, FISMA, NIST).
- IT project and program management experience within an Information Technology or Operational Technology environment.
- Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
The hourly pay rate range for this position is $65.00 to $75.00, depending on related qualifications and experience, as well as the composition of the selected compensation package.
