SummaryYorktown Systems Group is seeking a highly qualified Information Management Specialist to support the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Integrated Healthcare Transformation (IHT). The role provides professional services and support directly to the Product Effectiveness (PE) Professional Health Business Services.
Responsibilities- Design and control systems that input, delete, retrieve, manipulate, and correct information in databases or automated/electronic records.
- Provide in‑depth knowledge of VHA systems and files, including:
- Corporate Data Warehouse (CDW)
- Veterans’ Health Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VistA)
- VHA Support Service Center (VSSC)
- VHA Reports and Measurement Portal (RAMP)
- Managerial Cost Accounting (MCA) System
- Primary Care Management Module (PCMM)
- The National Patient Care Database (NPCD)
- BA/BS degree
- 6+ years of experience developing and maintaining intranet/internet/SharePoint sites for large organizations
- Experience designing and producing reports using a variety of information‑management research tools, systems, and processes, with a focus on integrated health care
- In‑depth knowledge of VHA systems and files as listed above
- Expertise in critical thinking, creating pages and content for the site while ensuring a minimal number of clicks to locate information within the intranet/SharePoint site
- Experience communicating effectively and coordinating data collection, data consolidation, organization, branding, and 508 compliance
- Experience creating trouble tickets and following them through resolution
Must possess a favorable NACI background check and be able to obtain a Secret security clearance.
