News Nation is a national cable news network currently reaching approximately 75 million television households across the United States. The network is owned and operated by Nexstar Media Group (NXST).
News Nation is currently searching for a Feed Room Operator based in our Washington DC Bureau.
** Responsibilities:
** The Feed Room Operator will be responsible for management and operation of tuning and recording multiple news gathering systems, including (but not limited to) incoming satellite, TVU, LiveU, LTN, multiple online video conferencing systems (Zoom, Skype, etc.)

* Qualifications:

*** 3-5 years’ television news gathering or satellite experience required
* Must work well in a collaborative team environment, be able to multitask. A problem solver and quick thinker to resolve existing issues and to find work arounds is essential.
* Good communication skills and the ability to quickly multi-task is essential.
* Must be self-sufficient and have a “press-on-regardless” attitude.
* Knowledge of Adobe Premiere, Bit Central and ENPS systems a plus.
* Command of common business software applications (Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook).
* All day parts may be a part of the schedule (mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays) with overtime as situations demand.
* Bachelor’s degree in Communications or related field preferred.

Compensation Range: $35–$42/hourly
