Computer Technician – Summer
Title: Computer Technician – Summer
Location: Administrative Service Center, Vancouver, Washington
Reports To: Information Technology Services Manager
Department: Information Technology (IT)
Hours / Work Time: 8 hours per day (7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., includes 1 hour unpaid lunch)
Position Duration: June 29, 2026 – August 21, 2026 (Temporary / Summer/Seasonal)
Salary Placement: New employees will start at the minimum hourly rate in the classification salary range. Employees with prior service may receive experience credit toward salary step placement.
Benefits: Employees who work at least 630 hours in a school year are eligible for medical, dental, vision, basic long‑term disability, basic life and AD&D insurance through the School Employees Benefits Board (SEBB). Essential Functions- Assist Hardware Technicians in upgrades, repairs, installations and maintenance of district computer systems and equipment.
- Perform equipment surplus duties and keep accurate records of work performed.
- Assist in general housekeeping of technical repair areas.
- Perform inventory duties such as barcoding and recording of new equipment and create an audit trail of work performed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Personal computer knowledge preferred; strong interest in learning Microsoft Windows and Google platforms.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
- Strong organizational, teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain clear and accurate records.
