Overview
Join AZAD Technology Partners as a Network Administrator and support the Network Administration organization within the IT department. The Network Administrator assignment supports the facility s networking connectivity in an Internet/intranet environment. They will assist with maintaining a high performing infrastructure on various network components such as routers, switches, patch panels and fiber/cable plants by installing, configuring and troubleshooting using provided tools.
Responsibilities- Support the facility s networking connectivity in an Internet/intranet environment.
- Install, configure and troubleshoot network infrastructure components (routers, switches, patch panels, fiber/cable plants) using provided tools.
- Assist with maintaining a high performing network infrastructure.
- Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred; with an Associate s or Bachelor s Degree in applicable fields, 8 years of experience is required; with an Associate s or Bachelor s Degree not in applicable fields or without a degree, 10 years of experience is required.
- Applicable Certifications may count for 1 year of experience.
- Experience must include direct work experience in Information Technology performing Network Administration.
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or greater (e.g., CCNP) in Routing and Switching or equivalent is required.
- Knowledge of network components, operation and maintenance concepts; network architecture principles and security concepts; network management tools; LAN/WAN development principles; VPN technology; configuration of Cisco routers and switches;
Wi-Fi concepts; change management; cabling and fiber plant concepts; routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF. - Valid U.S. Driver s License or RealID is required.
- Knowledge of Linux operating systems (1 year experience desirable).
- Knowledge and experience supporting MPLS, Cisco VSS, VDC, VXLANs.
- NIST and FIPS experience in applying and maintaining security controls are desirable.
