Your roleThe Technical Product Management (TPM) co-op will help bridge the gap between business goals and technical execution. You will learn how to triage incoming feature requests and how our products work in the process. You will help fellow product managers organize their requirements to align with the software development lifecycle (SDLC) to improve elaboration time, coordinate dependencies, and ensure dependable delivery outcomes for the program management team to track.
You will assist the Product Director in aligning product strategy across teams in Vancouver and London, and help maintain internal and external facing collateral such as roadmaps and other audit-ready product documentation.
You will dive into our technical architecture, learn how our products operate, and transform raw feature requests into structured, actionable business needs. This is a high-impact internship where your data gathering and analysis will directly shape our product roadmap.
Your responsibilities- Product Discovery:
Assist with user interviews with internal SMEs and staff to identify customer problems. - Requirement Building:
Help create product specifications, user stories, and technical details for the engineering team. - Data Analysis:
Review product data and metrics to assess feature performance and system efficiency. - Cross-Functional Work:
Join daily team meetings and help developers and designers stay aligned on the product vision. - Competitive Research:
Examine industry trends and competitor tools to identify new features to build.
- Technical literacy: understanding of object-oriented concepts, client-server architecture, system design
- Analytical & structured thinking: ability to analyze data, ask questions, and document findings clearly, map processes, and maintain detail
- Communication: ability to explain complex technical ideas to non-technical people
- Tools: ability to learn quickly to use tools like Jira, Confluence, Miro, Product Board
- Past (co-op) experience in any of the following is an asset:
- Cloud-native application development
- Software development life cycles in small to medium-sized organizations
- Experience with AI tools for research or prototype development

CompensationGlobal Relay provides compensation information in compliance with British Columbia’s pay transparency laws. Individual pay rates are determined by factors such as expertise, skills, education, and professional background.
The range below reflects the expected annual base salary, which is one element of our total rewards package designed to reflect our pay philosophy, culture and values. We provide a comprehensive extended health benefits program, including virtual healthcare and a wellness allowance. Employees also receive annual vacation days that increase with tenure. Other benefits include paid sick days, maternity/parental leave, bonus, and an RRSP contribution matching program.
For Vancouver-based employees, we offer a subsidized meal program through our in-house culinary team.
British Columbia - Base salary range
$42,000 — $56,400 CAD
