Custodian Lead - Vancouver , 1st shft

Summary of Role:

Under general supervision, this position performs custodial duties and minor repairs, assists in sanitation control, checks for safety hazards and leads custodial staff.

Responsibilities:

• Follow Standard Operating Procedures, company policies, safety policies and practices, quality standards, and

Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

• Clean and sanitize production equipment, machinery, and work areas according to established protocols and

schedules.

• Disassemble and reassemble equipment for thorough cleaning and sanitizing.

• Ensure all cleaning and sanitizing tasks are completed in compliance with food safety regulations (e.g., FDA, USDA) and company policies.

• Use appropriate cleaning agents and tools safely and effectively.

• Monitor and document cleaning activities, ensuringaccuraterecords are maintained.

• Identify and report any maintenance or repair needs.

• Follow all safety procedures andwear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.

• Collaborate with production and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless operations.

• Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on sanitation practices and regulations.

• Safely operate all Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) and or use hand trucks to move, load, and unload products.

• Perform high cleaning in a scissor lift as needed.
• Convey materials to or from storage or work areas to designated area, using hand truck, pallet jack, or forklift.
• Check out sanitation supplies following current inventory procedures.
• Assist in maintaining team compliance, reporting non-compliance, keeping

required training current and following all procedures.

• Ensure associates perform custodial and sanitation tasks safely, including following required lockout/tagout procedures, using appropriate PPE, handling chemicals correctly, and operating equipment safely

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience in sanitation, janitorial, or cleaning roles, preferably in a food grade facility preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment and clean room attire.

• Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

• Moderate physical activity,requires standing, twisting bending and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per

day and up to twelve (12) hours per shift.

• Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.

• Must be comfortable in a light industrial environment, including some exposure to non-toxic dust.
