Salary Range: $18.00 to $27.40 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Directly responsible for staffing, succession planning, recruiting, interviewing, hiring, orientation, training, and ongoing development of Department Team Members in line with staffing guidelines.
  • Responsible for WCT training in the department and maintaining the department at training store certification.
  • Develops direct reports by creating action and development plans when necessary.
  • Coordinates with other Department Managers on hiring decisions to create growth opportunities for Team Members.
  • Creates weekly department schedules within budgeted labor guidelines, balancing team member and business needs.
  • Creates, develops, and implements incentive programs and contests for the department to motivate participation in company promotions.
  • Provides regular performance feedback, including timely performance appraisals and development of department goals.
  • Administers the semi‑annual merit increase process.
  • Assists the General Manager with coaching other managers on performance‑management procedures.
  • Oversees MIT training during training weeks and ensures WCTs are correctly scheduled to conduct the training modules.
  • Assists the General Manager with ongoing performance management and development of Bar, Hospitality, and Assistant Managers.
  • Utilizes World Wide Wings support teams and subject‑matter experts when necessary.
  • Provides coaching and follow‑up to direct reports to ensure execution of service standards and guest experience.
  • Communicates with direct reports by holding departmental meetings and sharing successes, new procedures, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensures all department Team Members have current state‑required training, permits, and guest‑comment program participation.
  • Actively seeks techniques to attract new guests and improve guest satisfaction.
  • Manages the restaurant's Guest Comment program, handling food‑quality complaints in a timely manner and providing coaching to managers on guest‑complaint resolution.
  • Utilizes the Guest Experience Management program to provide feedback to Team Members and make necessary adjustments to ensure overall satisfaction.
Quality Operations
  • Facilitates adherence to new food product roll‑outs and ensures all Team Members meet or exceed quality, recipe adherence, and portioning standards.
  • Communicates with food vendors to hold them accountable for product quality and timely delivery.
  • Ensures that menu specs, wall charts, and department‑specific systems are used and adhered to.
  • Communicates areas of opportunity to the department and management team.
  • Helps the general manager coach and direct managers and Team Members on quality, service, and cleanliness standards and inventory levels.
  • Analyzes pertinent sections of restaurant performance measurement tools (GEM, QSCs, audits, P&L), troubleshoots problem areas, and implements action plans.
  • Conducts administrative manager functions such as entering invoices, inventory, and end‑of‑day procedures.
  • Monitors all department equipment, reports repair needs through the facility management system, and follows up for timely repairs.
  • Operates the department consistently with Board of Health and food‑safety practices.
  • Corrects BOH and Steritech issues immediately.
  • Facilitates adherence to new bar product and promotion roll‑outs, communicates with vendors, and holds them accountable for quality and delivery.
  • Ensures bar systems (alcohol incident log, bar line check, prep lists) are used and adhered to.
Sales and Profits
  • Responsible for overall food cost and operates the department within company‑defined variance to food cost.
  • Responsible for overall labor results, operating within company standard SPLH targets.
  • Orders food and paper products from produce vendors and food distributor.
  • Maintains proper inventory levels for all food and paper products, with accurate and independently validated inventories.
  • Establishes daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly projections.
  • Understands the P&L statement, creates action plans for problem areas.
