Welder​/Fitter

Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Welder/Fitter role in Vancouver, WA. • Read, interpret, and work from blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols to fabricate and assemble metal components.

• Fit, tack, and weld components using MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding processes as required.

• Measure, cut, grind, and prepare materials to ensure precise fit and alignment.

• Inspect welded components for accuracy, strength, and quality, making adjustments as needed.

• Operate and maintain welding and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.

• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.

• Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and inspectors to meet production goals and quality standards.

• Accurately document work completed and report any material defects, equipment issues, or safety concerns.

• Assist with material handling, positioning, and assembly of large or heavy components.

• High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience as a Welder/Fitter or in metal fabrication is preferred.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

• Proficiency with welding tools and equipment; welding certifications are a plus.

• Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs and work in a physically demanding environment.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship and quality.

• Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including overtime, as required.
