Maintenance Mechanic

Vancouver, WA

• Starting pay rate $37.70 - 40.30/hour
• Shift differential of $1.00 per hour for hours worked between 3:00pm and 6:59am the following day

This position works night shift Sunday to Wednesday then Saturday to Tuesday from 9:00pm to 7:00am. The candidate must be able to train for at least 2 months on the Day shift which works Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 3:00pm.

• Perform various activities on equipment and machines including reassembling machines after the completion of repair or maintenance work;
• Start machines and observe mechanical operation to determine efficiency and detect problems;
• Inspect or test damaged machine parts, mark defective areas or advise supervisors of repair needs;
• Lubricate or apply other materials to machines, machine parts, or other equipment, according to specified procedures;
• Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments, according to production specifications;
• Read work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment requiring repair or maintenance;
• Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair using hand tools;
• Perform other duties as required

• Candidate should have 3+ years of maintenance experience within a manufacturing organization
• Must have High School Diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatic and mechanical systems and machinery
• Ability to read blueprints strongly desired
• Proficient with computers is a plus
• Good communication skills are required to communicate with supervision and other departments
