Job Description
Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a Manual Machine Operator for our client in Vancouver, WA, a long-standing leader in the manufacturing of high-quality healthcare equipment. In this role, you will operate manual machines as part of an integrated manufacturing process, performing drilling, tapping, and pressing operations across a variety of materials, as well as finished assembly of products. This is a great opportunity for a candidate with hands-on manual machine experience to grow within a stable, well-equipped facility - with the potential to cross-train onto CNC machinery over time.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate manual machines including Bridgeport mills, drill presses, and similar equipment
- Perform drilling, tapping, and pressing operations on materials including stainless steel, aluminum, plastics, and occasional brass
- Run multiple machines as part of the overall production workflow
- Perform finished assembly of products using hand tools and basic power tools, following standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Perform in-process inspections to ensure parts meet specifications
- Maintain accurate production records
- Follow all company safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work area
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members on production goals and process flow
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience operating manual machines, including drilling and tapping operations
- Experience with Bridgeport mills, drill presses, or similar equipment preferred
- General mechanical aptitude and ability to work with a variety of materials (stainless steel, aluminum, plastics, brass)
- Ability to read basic work orders and follow detailed SOPs
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to cross-train onto CNC machinery as skills develop
- If selected, ability to complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Monday - Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM + overtime
- $28-$40/hr DOE
