Position Overview

The Semiconductor Manufacturing Technician supports daily semiconductor manufacturing operations within a clean room environment. This role is responsible for operating production equipment, handling materials, monitoring process performance, collecting production data, and maintaining strict clean room and safety standards.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, hands-on, and able to follow highly controlled manufacturing procedures while working closely with engineering and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Arrive to assigned shift on time and review daily production schedules and priorities
  • Participate in daily stand-up meetings to receive operational updates and assignments
  • Pull and organize required inventory and materials for production runs
  • Properly gown and enter the clean room following contamination control procedures
  • Operate semiconductor manufacturing equipment and production tools
  • Load materials into assigned manufacturing equipment following process instructions
  • Monitor machine operation to ensure proper performance and process stability
  • Observe equipment alarms, process deviations, or irregularities and respond appropriately
  • Escalate equipment or process concerns to supervisors or engineering teams as needed
  • Collect, record, and verify production and process data during manufacturing operations
  • Accurately enter data into spreadsheets, logs, and tracking systems
  • Update production charts and operational metrics
  • Unload completed materials and prepare equipment for the next process run
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant workspace within clean room standards
  • Follow all company safety policies, clean room protocols, and manufacturing procedures
  • Support preventative maintenance and equipment calibration activities as needed
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to improve manufacturing efficiency and processes
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Associate degree or technical certification in Semiconductor Manufacturing, Electronics, Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, Physics, Chemistry, or a related field preferred for entry-level candidates with little to no industry experience
  • Candidates with relevant semiconductor, manufacturing, clean room, or equipment operation experience may be considered in place of a technical degree
  • Prior semiconductor or clean room experience preferred, but not required
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed procedures precisely
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and data entry
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Good troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities

    Ability to work in a fast-paced, precision-driven manufacturing environment
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and manufacturing processes
  • Semiconductor clean room environment requiring full gowning protocol
  • Standing and walking for extended periods
  • Working around sensitive manufacturing equipment and materials
  • May require lifting materials or equipment up to 25 pounds
  • Overtime or schedule flexibility may be required based on production needs
