Wood Shop Helper
Join our dynamic team as a Woodworker where you will play a crucial role in wood fabrication, including laying out assemblies, sawing parts according to drawings, and drilling timber frames to create structural and architectural pieces for park construction projects. Your expertise will also be utilized in material handling and preparing outgoing shipments, ensuring quality through precise measurement checks with blueprints.
Responsibilities- Fabricate wood by laying out assemblies and sawing parts as needed according to drawings.
- Drill timber frames for the fabrication of structural and architectural pieces for park construction projects.
- Handle materials and prepare outgoing shipments for orders.
- Conduct quality checks using measurement tools and blueprints.
- Work autonomously and utilize large timber forms for wood fabrication.
- Proficiency in using a tape measure.
- Experience in cutting wood and working with large timber forms.
- Forklift experience is essential.
- Ability to work autonomously.
- Experience in working with large wood or steel cutting.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in reading and interpreting drawings or blueprints.
- Preferred experience in moving large materials in fabrication.
- Knowledge in woodworking, drilling, sawing, and drawing.

The work environment is in a back shop that is open to the elements, experiencing cold winters and hot summers. The company specializes in manufacturing park benches, playground equipment, fitness gear, slides, and trash cans, serving clients nationwide.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vancouver, WA. The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
