CNC Machine Operator
Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a CNC Machine Operator role in Vancouver, WA. Key Responsibilities:- Operate CNC Mills, Lathes, and other machining equipment to produce parts according to specifications.
- Load and unload materials and ensure proper machine setup for production runs.
- Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance conditions and notify appropriate personnel.
- Perform basic adjustments to machine offsets and tooling as needed to maintain quality standards.
- Read and follow blueprints, work instructions, and job travelers.
- Conduct in-process inspections using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Maintain consistent production flow while operating 1–2 machines simultaneously.
- Document production activity, scrap, and quality checks accurately.
- Perform routine cleaning and basic preventative maintenance on machines.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure production goals are met.
- Assist with setup tasks or secondary operations as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1+ years of CNC machine operation experience preferred (entry-level candidates with relevant training considered).
- Ability to read basic blueprints and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Basic math skills, including working with decimals and measurements.
- Familiarity with measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs regularly (up to 50 lbs occasionally) and stand for extended periods.
- Willingness to learn and grow in a machining environment.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented setting.
- Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Must be eligible to work in an ITAR-regulated environment.
- Competitive hourly wage: $25 – $34 per hour (DOE).
- Shift differentials for swing, graveyard, and weekend shifts.
