Company Overview

Inland Empire Paper is a state‑of‑the‑art paper manufacturing facility located in Spokane, WA. The company seeks an experienced Industrial Electrician to plan and execute complex equipment maintenance.

• Plan and execute complex equipment maintenance.
• Install, start‑up, test, inspect, repair, program, tune, maintain and calibrate electrical equipment in a heavy industrial environment including low, medium and high voltage AC and DC motors, motor controls, switch gear, PLCs, VFDs, and other heavy industrial equipment related to pulp and paper mill operations.
• Work with other Maintenance and Operations personnel to troubleshoot and repair process‑related challenges.
• Operating at $41.70 – $44.79 per hour journeyman rate.
• Shift schedule: 4–10 day shift, includes one weekend and one swing shift rotation every 5–6 weeks, with 6 days off prior to the weekend shift.

• Ability to perform all work safely.
• Two‑year degree in Electrical Technology or equivalent experience and/or apprenticeship.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to perform essential functions of working in a heavy industrial environment (climbing ladders, stairs, walking distances, working at heights, working in tight or enclosed spaces, inclement weather, temperature extremes).
• Strong diagnostic skills and willingness to learn new equipment and procedures.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Familiarity with the National Electrical Code.
• Medium voltage experience preferred.
• Washington EL01 or EL07 preferred.
