Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a CNC Machinist role in Vancouver, WA. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform typical CNC machining operations to produce precision parts according to specifications and production schedules.
- Operate Haas VF-3 and VF-4 machining centers to cut, drill, and machine metal components to required dimensions and tolerances.
- Set up machines, load materials, verify tooling and offsets, and monitor machining operations to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Inspect parts produced for quality and conformity using precision measuring equipment and correct any inconsistencies.
- Detect and report defective materials, equipment malfunctions, or questionable operating conditions.
- Maintain work areas and equipment in a clean and orderly condition while following all company safety procedures.
- Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on CNC machines as required.
- Inspect parts according to department SOPs and identify quality concerns.
- Consistently meet production, efficiency, and quality standards.
- Assist with training new machine operators and support team development.
- Cross-train and provide support on 3-Axis CNC routers and CNC lathes as needed to support production requirements.
- Assist with cycle counting and inventory management of raw materials.
- Collaborate with production and quality teams to resolve machining and manufacturing challenges.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-2 years of CNC machining experience required; experience with Haas VF-3 and VF-4 machining centers preferred.
- Strong understanding of machining principles, machine operation, and quality assurance processes.
- Good math skills, including the ability to convert fractions to decimals.
- Ability to read and use precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Basic computer skills.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining attention to detail.
