Cleanroom Technician
Day Shift, Part-Time (39 hours per week) 8:00am to 3:45pm, Monday thru Friday
This Cleanroom Production Operator position involves running multiple pieces of automated machinery processing silicon wafer manufacturing. The work takes place in a fast-paced cleanroom environment requiring operators to wear PPE including a hooded full-body cleanroom gown 'bunny suit' with hairnet and/or beard net, safety glasses, mouth/nose cover, nylon/nitrile gloves, and chemical apron. The cleanroom work area is air-conditioned and well-ventilated, though operators can be prone to getting hot throughout the day due to the cleanroom gown.
Responsibilities- Perform out-of-cycle production support tasks, including pad changes, material staging, and cleaning.
- Remove and replace polishing pads as needed to support production requirements.
- Move, handle, and stage ceramic plates and related materials throughout the work area.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of production equipment and work spaces.
- Train and become certified on polishing equipment to provide coverage for employee breaks, absences, and call-ins.
- Follow established procedures, quality standards, and safety protocols.
- Support team members and production operations as needed to ensure workflow efficiency.
- Move, lift, carry, and transport material boxes filled with poly silicon wafers, weighing approximately 10-20 pounds each frequently.
- Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Operate a cart on wheels to transport materials and equipment weighing anywhere from 20 lbs to approximately 200 lbs by pushing/pulling.
- Operate robotic equipment to lift, unload, raise, lower, and transport material, products, and other equipment.
- Perform tasks to clean equipment and the area to meet cleanroom and 5S standards.
- Follow all documented training, procedures, and processes to meet quality and cleanroom standards.
- Report and take action to prevent or stop variations, errors, or lapses in quality.
- Ensure quality issues are reported, corrected, and not repeated.
- Identify and report suggestions for improvement to supervisor or other appropriate manager.
- Demonstrate proficiency in the use of a computer, keyboard, and monitor.
- Experience in software use, such as Microsoft Excel and Outlook e-mail, is desired.
- Operate a calculator and telephone.
- Effectively communicate with management and co-workers.
- Organize, be willing and ready to learn and be trained, and work well with others as part of a team but also be self-motivated and self-directed to work independently when necessary.

Work in a semi-cleanroom environment, which can be dirty at times, with noisy machines in a traditional shop-type setting. Personal protective equipment including hairnet, safety glasses, company-provided uniform, and safety shoes are required.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vancouver, WA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.50 - $23.00/hr.
