6pm to 6am
This position involves operating multiple pieces of equipment and machinery to perform silicon ingot slicing in a semi-cleanroom environment. Operators must adhere to detailed procedures and complete documentation to meet daily targets on time and without defects. Cross-training will be provided to allow certification in multiple process areas within the department. This is a 12-hour night shift role from 6pm to 6am, following a compressed workweek schedule, alternating between 3-ON/4-OFF and 4-ON/3-OFF, requiring work every other weekend, with potential overtime.
Responsibilities
- Operate machinery and equipment for silicon ingot slicing.
- Adhere to complex procedures and complete necessary documentation.
- Rotate among multiple process areas upon certification.
- Exert physical force to move objects and operate equipment.
- Review work orders and manage schedules based on customer specifications.
- Use computers for data input and tracking.
- Monitor and verify data to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Operate automated equipment for lifting and transporting materials.
- Perform cleaning tasks to maintain equipment and area standards.
- Multi-task and analyze data to maintain high-quality standards.
- Follow all documented training, procedures, and processes for quality assurance.
- Report and address quality issues promptly.
- Complete tasks using safe practices and report unsafe conditions.
Essential Skills
- Experience with machine operation and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in mathematical calculations and data analysis.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Ability to read and write in English effectively.
- Competency in using computers, including Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Prior production experience is preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude and computer skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Effective multitasking and time management abilities.
Work Environment
The work takes place in a semi-cleanroom setting requiring personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, gloves, and safety shoes. Operators may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, electrical currents, and chemicals. The role includes a 12-hour night shift schedule, with a 15% night shift differential compensation incentive.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vancouver, WA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.
