Production Operator (Poly Etch)

Vancouver, WA

12-hour compressed Day Shift

6am to 6pm

Job Description

This entry-level Production Operator position involves processing silicon for semiconductor wafer manufacturing. The role requires following complex, detailed procedures and completing documentation on time and without defects. The operator will use a variety of automated and manual tools, including clean line etch benches, scales, barcode scanners, and a PC.

Responsibilities
  • Follow product specifications, work procedures, or written/verbal instructions from a supervisor to perform production tasks.
  • Check and inspect operations against predetermined tolerances.
  • Understand and follow all safety regulations, including Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
  • Cross-train to become certified in one or more areas and rotate among various process areas.
  • Review etch bench run lists, ensuring correct material handling and labeling per specifications.
  • Perform daily calibrations for process tools and verify calibration data meets specifications.
  • Monitor, analyze, and verify data and processes meet quality specifications before advancing materials.
  • Understand basic maintenance processes of assigned equipment and manage equipment issues with team resources.
  • Multi-task, input and interpret data, analyze facts to determine problems, solutions, and course of action, maintaining high quality.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and time management.
  • Collaborate effectively as part of a cohesive production team.
  • Use a computer keyboard to input data, track and confirm material for each process step.
  • Complete computerized forms and labels, and manage delivery requests per work orders.
  • Use and answer a desk telephone and email for communication.
  • Communicate effectively in English with management and co-workers.
  • Create, read, comprehend, or explain instructions, procedures, technical manuals, and reports.
Essential Skills
  • Hand/wrist dexterity for constant repetitive motion and grasping tasks.
  • Ability to work around hazardous or volatile chemicals.
  • Standing, walking, and frequent use of stairs for long periods.
  • Frequent lifting/exerting force between 10-20 lbs, occasionally up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to kneel, bend, and crouch while lifting parts and using hand tools.
  • Close vision required for tasks within arm's length.
  • Basic math and computer skills.
  • Strong multitasking and time management abilities.
Additional

Skills & Qualifications
  • Basic safety knowledge, including use of Safety Data Sheets.
  • Ability to understand danger points in the process.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, compute percentages and decimals using a calculator.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented environment.
Work Environment

The position involves working a 12-hour day shift from 6am to 6pm on a compressed workweek schedule that alternates between 3-ON/4-OFF and 4-ON/3-OFF, requiring work every other weekend. The environment can be dirty and loud, with exposure to fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, and oils. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and clothing are provided and required for safety, including safety glasses, gloves, face shields, and specific uniforms.

The use of ear plugs is optional.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vancouver, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
