CNC Operator
The CNC Operator is responsible for operating CNC machinery to produce quality parts according to customer specifications and production requirements. This position will perform machine operation, inspections, tool changes, and basic troubleshooting while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Responsibilities- Operate CNC mills, lathes, or other CNC equipment to manufacture parts within specified tolerances.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and inspection requirements.
- Perform quality checks using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Load materials and monitor machine performance throughout production runs.
- Conduct tool changes and make minor machine adjustments as needed.
- Troubleshoot basic machine and production issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all company safety and quality standards.
- Prior experience operating CNC machinery in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to stand, bend, lift, and work in a production environment.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience performing complete machine setups, including tooling, fixture installation, offsets, and first-article inspections.
- CNC programming experience using G-code, Mastercam, Fusion 360, or similar software.
- Experience editing existing programs and optimizing machining processes.
- Technical training or certification related to machining or manufacturing.
- Mastercam or Solidworks experience would be a huge plus and allow for further career growth within the role.
This is a great opportunity for an entry or mid-level operator with a good schooling or theoretical understanding to learn and develop skills long-term. The company is willing to train someone with a solid foundation who desires to grow and learn.
Work EnvironmentThe position is set in a machine shop environment with a shift schedule from Monday to Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, with flexibility on start and finish times by 1 or 2 hours.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vancouver, WA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $26.00 - $32.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
