Job Type: Full Time, Onsite
Schedule:
Day Shift, typically 4:30 am to 1:00 pm, Monday to Friday
Wage: $20.60 to $32.25, DOE
Weld test required; bring your welding hood to the interview
Purpose of PositionTo weld components by prescribed methods required by customer blueprints and specifications, meeting or exceeding AWS D1.1 standards while providing instruction to welder trainees.
Major Duties- Review blueprints and job specifications with supervisor
- Set up welder current, amperage, and gas flows for material being welded
- Set up parts that are tacked or fixtured for welding
- Weld components to meet AWS D1.1 standards or higher
- Check dimensions and tolerances after welding and cooling; use industry‑standard methods to straighten, ream, and deburr as required
- Provide technical direction and support to welder trainees
- Promote a safe work environment by following best practices, company safety policies, OSHA guidelines, and maintaining a 5S workstation
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Reliable, on time, and ready to work daily
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding, engineering, and material specifications
- Proficiency in MIG, FCAW, and tack welding, and standard metal working tools
- Solid math, dimensional, and reading skills; ability to use a tape measure
- Minimum 2 years experience preferred
