The position requires strong attention to detail, adherence to strict safety and quality standards, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities
  • Follow complex, detailed procedures and documentation to complete daily cleaning of large industrial machinery without damage and within established timelines.
  • Perform thorough cleaning of equipment and surrounding areas to meet clean room 5S standards, ensuring a highly organized and contamination-controlled work area.
  • Manage graphite part replacement, including handling, tracking, and documenting parts used during machine maintenance and cleaning activities.
  • Review daily machine clean lists and create a schedule for when various cleans and maintenance tasks are required, prioritizing work to meet production needs.
  • Use a computer keyboard and software tools to input data, track work, and complete computerized forms related to graphite part replacement and machine cleaning.
  • Continuously monitor and verify that all data, setups, and processes meet quality and area requirements during each step, after each process, and before moving to the next step.
  • Understand and follow product specifications, Standard Work Procedures (SWPs), Response Flow Charts (RFCs), control charts, and other documentation related to assigned processes.
  • Report and take action to prevent or stop variations, errors, or lapses in quality, ensuring that quality issues are promptly reported, corrected, and not repeated.
  • Identify and communicate suggestions for process and safety improvements to supervisors or appropriate personnel.
  • Apply basic math skills to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and compute percentages and decimals using a calculator for production and quality-related tasks.
  • Understand and follow all safety regulations, including proper use of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and recognition of danger points in the process.
  • Immediately report all on-the-job accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions, and request guidance or training when needed to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Use Lock Out / Tag Out (LOTO) procedures to ensure machines are properly de-energized when required for cleaning, maintenance, or troubleshooting.
  • Operate lift equipment to safely load, unload, raise, lower, and transport materials, products, and other equipment as part of the cleaning and production process.
  • Complete training on various handling tools for heavy parts and apply that training to safely move, lift, and position components.
  • Move, lift, and open boxes filled with graphite parts weighing approximately 10 to 200 pounds, using proper techniques and equipment.
  • Push carts on wheels weighing between approximately 20 pounds and up to approximately 275 pounds to transport materials within the facility.
  • Cut open, lift, and move bags containing approximately 11 pounds of poly silicon rock pieces up to about 300 times during a 12-hour shift.
  • Move an average of 4,400 pounds of material within a 12-hour period twice (loading and unloading), using appropriate tools and equipment.
  • Exert pressure on robotic equipment buttons to stop, start, and command movements or actions as required by the cleaning and production processes.
  • Lift and move objects from low to higher positions or horizontally from place to place, including while kneeling, bending, or crouching as tasks require.
  • Perform repetitive motions such as grasping, reaching, pushing, and pulling throughout the shift while handling parts and operating tools.
  • Stand, walk, and frequently use stairs for extended periods during 12-hour shifts in a busy production environment.
  • Work overtime when required for on-call coverage, vacations, absences, or other mandatory coverage needs.
  • Use close visual inspection within arm's length to safely inspect equipment and parts, identify errors or defects, and verify data and documentation.
  • Prepare, analyze, and interpret data through extensive reading and visual inspection of small parts, fabrication details, words, and numbers.
  • Operate basic office and communication equipment such as calculators, copiers, scanners, cell phones, and telephones to support production and documentation tasks.
  • Communicate effectively in English with management and coworkers, both verbally and in writing, to clarify instructions, report issues, and coordinate work.
  • Read, comprehend, and explain instructions, procedures, technical and informational manuals, reports, and correspondence for yourself and others.
  • Work collaboratively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment,…
