Empty Can De-Palletizer Operator-Seasonal Night Shift
We are looking for a Seasonal Empty Can De-Palletizer Operator to be responsible for ensuring a steady flow of empty cans to the production lines to the Solbern fillers at our Northwest Packing plant in Vancouver, WA. This is a seasonal position supporting our fresh pack season, typically August – November.
- Uses proper tools to remove shrink wrap from pallets of empty cans.
- Removes fiber or wood tops from pallets; able to stack tops.
- Uses push buttons or levers to move pallets.
- Collects tags from each pallet and turns them into quality control at the end of the shift.
- Communicates with empty can forklift driver and/or floor leads if there are issues to be addressed.
- Able to communicate with others verbally and remain calm under stress and strain.
- Complies with all Food Safety Initiatives and performs all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations.
- Able to make critical decisions while following company procedures.
- Able to utilize available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and work extended schedule, weekends, and any shift assigned during the fresh pack season, typically August to early November.
- Eligible for paid sick leave
