Shared Hope International (SHI) is one of the oldest and most well-established US-based nonprofits dedicated to bringing an end to the crime of human trafficking. We operate both domestically and abroad to bring about much-needed reform, and survivor support and protection through our innovative, three-tiered action model – prevention, restoration, and justice.

The Growth Strategies Department is a dynamic team of fundraising professionals, working to implement a comprehensive growth plan that will activate all potential fundraising channels.

As we build out, our department’s focus areas will include events, awareness-raising/public speaking, grants, trusts/foundations, corporate giving, social media campaigns, and direct donor engagement. We are seeking industrious, entrepreneurial individuals to optimize and expand their respective areas of focus.

Reporting to the Deputy to the President, the Senior Growth Strategies Manager position will be one of the key members of the Growth Strategies Department. The Senior Growth Strategies Manager will lead the planning and execution of high-impact local events while cultivating and equipping the growth strategies team to expand Shared Hope’s reach and influence. The candidate must be a compelling storyteller, able to communicate in a passionate yet accurate way about the mission of Shared Hope across multiple channels including social media, email, and public speaking to drive community engagement and deepen donor activation.

The ideal candidate will also be able to strengthen operational processes that support sustainable growth. This is a fundraising position first and foremost, so any candidate considered must be willing to solicit monetary contributions both directly and indirectly.

• Serve as the primary owner and project manager for annual and semiannual events, overseeing strategy, sponsor ships, planning, execution, and post-event evaluation.
• Drive measurable growth in event revenue by expanding sponsor ships, increasing donor participation, and optimizing event fundraising strategies.
• Ensure event planning is conducted with a high level of attention to financial and time constraints; work with various timelines and projects which happen simultaneously successfully.
• Actively build and maintain relationships with sponsors, donors, and community partners through in-person engagement, meetings, and event presence.
• Develop and deliver compelling messaging and storytelling across email campaigns, events, community engagement opportunities, social media, and live speaking opportunities to increase awareness and engagement around the mission.
• Represent Shared Hope at events and in the community as a confident and engaging public speaker.
• Mentor and support members of the Growth Strategies team, helping to prioritize projects, maintain accountability, and strengthen overall team performance.
• Regularly identify new funding opportunities, develop review summaries, and actionable strategies to present to the Deputy to the President.
• Maintain detailed calendars to track deadlines and monitor progress on Growth Strategies functions to ensure seamless execution across multiple concurrent initiatives; provide regular updates to the Growth Strategies team on these efforts.
