Salary Range: $20.61 - $27.31 Hourly
The position of Youth Ministry Leader is responsible for planning, coordinating, and leading year-round youth ministry opportunities for students in grades 6-12. The position is primarily event and program based. Success in the role is measured by the building, maintaining, and growing of a vibrant, engaged, Christ-filled youth community dedicated to growing in discipleship through effective planning and delivery of scheduled youth ministry activities, completion of required administrative responsibilities, communication with participating families, and compliance with Archdiocesan requirements.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Coordinate and implement youth ministry programming for students in grades 6-12 through regular spiritual, social, and service opportunities.
- Continually promote the youth ministry program’s value and ministry opportunities to the broader faith community including the schools and to the broader community to draw more youth and families into an encounter with Christ in participation, volunteering, and general awareness and support.
- Provide direct leadership for all scheduled youth ministry gatherings and activities.
- Maintain a safe, welcoming, and faith-filled environment for youth participants and volunteers.
- Recruit, coordinate, support, and communicate with volunteers involved in youth ministry.
- Maintain an accurate youth ministry calendar and communicate schedules to families and parish staff as needed.
- Participate in Archdiocesan youth opportunities for both middle and high school groups.
- Plan and implement summer activities for the youth within the parish family.
- Ensure that all Archdiocesan Safe Environment curriculum requirements are completed
- Meet weekly with the Director of Pastoral Ministries to review ministry plans, attendance, upcoming events, and program needs.

Qualifications- Practicing Roman Catholic in good standing with the Church.
- Demonstrated commitment to Catholic teaching and evangelization.
- Sincere interest in supporting youth in developing a relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church.
- Ability to effectively engage adolescents in grades 6-12.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to recruit, support, and collaborate with volunteers and families.
- Bachelor's degree and prior youth ministry experience preferred.
Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications.
